When it comes to affiliate marketing specifically, here's what you should do:
Always have a plan before you start. No matter what your approach will be with affiliate marketing, you need a plan and strategy. I talk about my strategy here.
Next, you want to take some time and nail your niche. When it comes to being successful with affiliate marketing, you will want to choose a niche that's profitable, and that's not crazy competitive. Learn how to choose a niche here.
Lastly, you don't want to reinvent the wheel. Don't go out and try to figure all this stuff out from scratch. No matter what your affiliate marketing strategy is, someone has a system and plan you can copy.
